A meeting of the ALLIANCE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION has been scheduled for Saturday November 18 2006.

Time: 1830 hours
The program comprises of a formal meet followed by a cultural program followed by dinner.

| Alliance Business Academy, one of the leading business school in the country, organized their annual Management and cultural festival, Transcend ‘06 at the Town Hall and the Satya Sai Samskrutha Sadanam on the 3rd and 07th of October. |

Blood Donation Camp at Alliance |
| As in the previous years, a blood donation camp was organized today (September 27) in association with ROTARY TTK BLOOD BANK, Regional Blood Transfusion Center, Bangalore. |
| The response was excellent and spontaneous. 122 units were collected during the half-day event. |
| Alliance is grateful to all the volunteers who donated blood. It is worth noting that each unit has the potential to be of benefit to three individuals. |
| Alliance also wishes to place on record its appreciation of the co-operation extended by ROTARY TTK BLOOD BANK. |

MDP ON LABOR LAWS |

An open enrollment program on Labor Laws and Statutory Obligations was conducted on Thursday September 28, 2006. The program was notable for the spontaneous response it received from the corporate world. 30 Executives from as many industries participated. |

Alliance to be recognized at IACBE Conference... |
| IACBE is having a regional conference at Paris this week-end. During the Plenary Session, Alliance is being recognized as one of four B-Schools at the Conference to be accorded accreditation during 2006. Dr Madhukar, Distinguished Professor at the University of Michigan, Flint, USA and a Member of the Governing Council of Alliance would be addressing one of the sessions. |

| Mr. JAMSHED S DABOO, the Chief Operating Officer of the TAJ GROUP OF HOTELS is scheduled to visit Alliance on
Tuesday September 12 for an interactive session with students. A superlative manager, Mr. DABOO was responsible for the profits of the Leisure Division of the TAJ GROUP growing from Rs. 3 crores in 2000 to Rs. 108 crores in 2006. |

| Dr RAJESH KUMAR conducted an MDP on Taxation for Senior Executives last week. The program was well-received and another program has been requested. |
| Recruitment facilitation for BEML |
| Alliance is pleased to announce the successful completion of recruitment and internal promotion process for Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Bangalore, one of the leading Public Sector Undertakings in the country. On August 24, 2006, about 175 officers appeared for a test at Alliance to be considered for promotion to higher positions. Earlier, 90 candidates had appeared for selection (test, GD and interview) as HR Executives. |

| Alliance Students at Mercy Home |
| The students of SBS-ABA-MBA, on the occasion of the 59th Anniversary of Independence, visited “Mercy Home”, a house for 200 less privileged children, on Monday, the 14th of August, 2006. Various games and activities were conducted to the children, aged between 2 and 12 for two hours. Lunch was sponsored by the students and served by them, to the children. In certain cases, the children were even fed by our students. |
